The Australian Former captain Ricky Ponting said on press that he will end his ODI career and he will continue to play Test cricket for Australia. He came out with this decision after Australian cricket board decided to drop him from ODI series against India and Srilanka for not performing well in the previous matches.
Ricky Ponting is the one who scored 13,074 runs with the strike rate of 42.03, But stands only next to Sachin. He also captained for World cups and won three World cups for Australia.
Though he has not reveled any official announcement regarding his retirement from ODI but still he said this may be the end for his ODI career. He also said that he will continue to play for Tasmania and Test Crickets, Which is going to happen in West Indies in near future.
